Shaheed Ashfaq Ullah Khan: The Man Who Inspired Generations

Ramprasad is my brother. I want to die under the rule of Hindus instead of British rule.


In the case of Kakori train robbery, Jawaharlal Nehru and G. B. A team of Pant was formed but efforts were made to save Ashfaq and Bismil in the efforts to save the revolutionaries in the judicial court. Viceroy was requested to convert his death sentence into a life sentence.


The privacy council was contacted. But all the efforts became inactive. The British did not do it again; Ashfaq, Bismil, Rajendra Lahiri and Roshan Singh were sentenced to death. Life sentences were given to others

The whole country opposed the death penalty On 19th, 1927, Fazal Ullah Khan was hanged in a jail in Faizabad Ashfaq. In the last words, “My hands are not dirty with the killing of men. God will judge.”
