Thirumalai Nayak Palace: Thirumalai Nayak is a major tourist spot of Madurai. It was constructed in 1636. An Italian architect had made it for the king. The king and his family lived here There are two parts of the Paradise and Rangvilas palace. Apart from this, there are many places in the palace where tourists are allowed to go.

 

The entrance fee has to be paid for roaming in this palace. It is said that this place was used in the British Raj for administrative purposes. It is now supervised by the Archaeological Survey of India, and it has been declared a National Monument.
